If your mailbox is on Exchange 2013 (most MIT community members are), you can use the following configuration details when setting up Calendar and Contacts Integration in your Zoom profile. This will open a new Outlook appointment with the Zoom meeting details. Then click the Forward button in the Actions group under Meeting tab. This method allows you to view meetings from your Outlook Calendar in the Zoom desktop client. Click to select the meeting to enable the Meeting tab. This has already caused problems where clients have joined the teams meeting instead of the clicking the zoom link. Instructions for both operating systems can also be found here Zoom Desktop Client Integration When scheduling a meeting from the outlook addin for zoom OR from zoom itself, at the point that the outlook 'schedule meeting' window opens you can see that MS teams has already inserted a meeting link. Click Home > Get Add-ins on the ribbon.Your mailbox will open in the default browser and the add-ins page will launch.
Most of the user base at MIT is still in our Exchange 2013 mail environment, and this add-in is currently being evaluated for use with it (as of June 2020). This solution currently works for users within our Office365 environment. For more information, see Microsoft's support article. This plugin is not supported for macOS Monterey 12.X users.
